• Day 1 Enter the idyllic scenery of Douro Valley's most luxurious spa.

  An English-speaking Chauffeur will be waiting for you in a deluxe vehicle Mercedes at the airport. Be welcome to Portugal!

  You will be transferred to the Douro Valley. Enjoy the scenic 2-hour road trip to the Douro Valley.

  Check-in at Six Senses Douro Valley Resort. Located in the beautiful Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Six Senses Douro Valley is touched by the romance of the 19th century architecture and is happily married to the contemporary interiors that reflect the inimitable style of the Six Senses.

  Then, you will enjoy a soothing massage in the Six Senses SPA designed to evoke deep relaxation.

  After the massage, you will enjoy a unique Chef’s Table experience at Six Senses Restaurant. A very personal journey of food and wine. An open cooking station is complete with a wood-fired oven for bread baking and a Josper Grill. Join a small group at a 10 courses meal that is prepared and hosted by the Chef, right before your eyes. Follow the process and complete the experience with selected accompanying wines. • Day 2 Wake up to the beautiful Douro landscape and learn the ropes of Portuguese gastronomy at two of the most emblematic wineries in Douro Valley.

  The visit to Quinta do Crasto and Quinta Nova is one of the Highlights of this Tour.

  You will discover Quinta do Crasto. Out of 1,500 wineries nominated around the world for the World’s Best Vineyard, Quinta do Crasto was selected as the #4 top vineyard worldwide. You will have a small group visit the famous old vineyards, winery and beautiful warehouse barrels, which matured table wines and premium Port wines. One of the biggest recognitions received by this Quinta came in 2008, when the magazine Wine Spectator considered the Quinta do Crasto Reserva Old Vines 2005 from vines with 70 years, the third-best wine in the world, giving it a 95 rating in one hundred points. Enjoy a traditional lunch prepared with products from the property. The meal usually served in the swimming pool area (designed by architect Souto Moura winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2011) a water mirror with breathtaking scenery.

  After this excellent experience, you will visit Quinta Nova Luxury Winery House “one of the 9 must-see wineries in the world” – distinguished by American Airlines. Precisely 250 years ago was harvesting their first grapes. This is, undoubtedly, one of the oldest wineries in the Douro region. You will visit in detail all production of wines, vineyard, winery of 1764, underground wine cellar and end your Private visit with a Top wine tasting: Grainha Reserve White, QN Gr. Reserve Red, QN GR Reference Red, Mirabilis Red, and QN Vintage Port.

  Dinner will be served at Terraçu's Restaurant. Indulge yourself with the delicacies that Quinta Nova’s restaurant team has to offer. The menu appeals to the senses and emotions, in a relaxed and curious way. The proposals are different every day, be guided by the inspiration of Chef José Pinto. During the 5 Moments degustation menu, you will observe the opening of a Vintage Port bottle with a heated tong is a traditional practice in older wines which is sure to create unique moments. Be sure to request this service, choosing a bottle of a very special year (bottle not included).

• Day 3 Live the experience of a lifetime and unfold all the secrets of the bespoke Quintas of Douro Valley.

  At Six Senses activity center, you will have a Tile painting. Learn and practice the traditional method to paint Portuguese ceramic tile “azulejo” and take home this personalized souvenir. In this workshop, each participant can paint two tiles (15 x15 cm – handmade tile): one using a traditional artistic tile painting technique with a template that showcases one local botanical species and the other using the actual flowers and leaves from the garden.

  You will have a private visit at Quinta do Noval. Quinta do Noval is an historic name with iconic status in the world of wine. But it is above all a vineyard. In the heart of the Douro Valley, great wines have been made in this Quinta since the early 18th century. After visiting the vineyards and the iconic Nacional plot, visitors discover the old winery, where we still tread grapes by foot in granite tanks. In the cellar full of old wooden barrels, you will feel like you are travelling in time. The private tour is completed by a Premium tasting in the traditional Quinta house. After the wine tasting, an apéritif (Port&Tonic) is served in our terrace overlooking the Douro. This typical Portuguese private lunch takes place in the Quinta’s dining room.

  Then, you will have a private visit at Quinta do Portal. Quinta do Portal is a Portuguese and independent family company that has embraced with passion the concept of Boutique Winery, and is dedicated to the production of DOC Douro wines, premium quality Port wines and Muscat. The family Mansilha Branco, owner of Quinta do Portal, is a producer of wines in the Douro Region since immemorial times (the first reference we have dates back to 1477) and has always been linked to its key moments. Here you will have a private jeep tour, a wine tasting of 4 wines (Porto Tawny 40 anos, Moscatel Reserva 2007, Grande Reserva Tinto 2016, Late Harvest 2015) and a cheese and sausages board and a visit to the old olive oil mill and an olive oil tasting.

  Afterward, at Quinta do Portal Restaurant, you will have a cooking workshop and Dinner with the Chef Milton Ferreira. In 15 years of experience he has created an identity in the delicacies of Quinta do Portal, continuous work and constant evolution make up this menu that brings you the best that Quinta do Portal produces. You will have a cooking class with the Chef's guidance, and you will have the opportunity to visit the kitchen and see how the food is prepared, followed by lunch with wine pairing in the winery restaurant.

• Day 4 Cruise to this Portuguese adventure and feel one with nature.

  Enjoy a cultural break in Lamego. The culture, architecture, heritage, historical center justify a visit. You should visit Lamego Museum, an astounding collection of ancient art and artifacts, including a fully reconstructed chapel dripping with gold, is displayed within the walls of an 18th century bishop’s palace. Among the many highlights are the set of paintings by one of Portugal’s most renowned painters, Grão Vasco, 16th century Flemish tapestries that depict the Greek legend of Oedipus and colorful 17th Century panels Azulejos (painted tiles) and Lady of Remedies Shrine in Lamego. From one of the central avenues in Lamego, you can climb to the top of the hill up an imposing baroque staircase with 686 steps ending in a shrine built in the rocaille style in the mid-eighteenth century for the worship of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, although it was not completely finished until 1905. The same Nicolau Nasoni who painted the cathedral ceilings designed some baroque works that decorate this monument.

  Then, you will discover the Douro Valley by an exclusive cruise in a Vintage Boat, a 66 feet Classic Wooden Yacht, an English ship built in 1957 in the shipyards of Christchurch, in England, with a double hull in mahogany from the Honduras, riveted with copper that gives her an added value both in safety, and worth. The boat served the British Admirals on their travels to the high seas for the 'exchange' of officers on the battleships. Aboard the ship, you will enjoy a 4-hour cruise and an amazing lunch. Live moments of intimacy with nature while you travel with emotion along with the history until the times when the Rabelos boats moved by the force of the sails and, be amazed by the scenarios that the Douro has to offer. Enjoy a highly qualified service, always meeting your demands in a proper and professional way.

  After lunch, we will take you to Quinta das Carvalhas, Real Companhia Velha’s crown jewel and the largest wine producing estate in the Douro region. The Vintage Tour is a private visit to the Vineyards accompanied by the Quinta das Carvalhas Agricultural Engineer. Join this tour and appreciate direct contact with nature in the vines, Mediterranean forests, and gardens, alongside the people who work them. The tour finishes at the wine shop for a tasting of premium Wines of Carvalhas with a platter of cheeses and finishing with a glass of Port.

  Your dinner is waiting at DOC Restaurant. Led by Michelin Starred Chef Rui Paula, with modern and creative gastronomy, with Douro flavors. It’s a place of enormous beauty, blending the grandeur of the vineyard-covered mountains and the serenity of the Douro River and the riverside villages, only awakened by the passage of the train. DOC serves as a window on this breathtaking scenery, making every meal a unique and special moment.

• Day 5 Savor Porto with all your soul and explore the mesmerizing architecture of this Unesco protected site.

  Wake up at the beautiful Porto landscape and enjoy a fantastic breakfast at the Hotel. Take your time to enjoy the fabulous hotel.

  Enjoy the amazing views and get to know the riverbanks of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto.

  Lunch will be served at Antiqvvm restaurant. The restaurant enjoys a unique location in a park in the centre of the city, next to the Romantic Museum and with fantastic views of the River Douro from its garden. The aim of the chef here is to give centre stage to his ingredients, always ensuring that their flavors combine perfectly with each other on the plate. A space where you can count on the monumental beauty of the building and the gardens that surround it, but also a masterful kitchen lead by the expert hand of the Michelin Starred Chef Vítor Matos. Come and learn how they reinvented the concept of “Time” and made it an incomparable sensory act.

  Then, meet with the certified private Guide, he will show you the highlights of the city of Porto, starting in the historic center, you will have a drive/walking tour where we will take you to the Clérigos Tower, designed and decorated by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, located near Lello Bookstore, considered by Lonely Planet one of the three most beautiful bookstores in the world. Across Aliados Avenue, you will find São Bento Railway Station, where you can observe its twenty thousand painted tiles, depicting historical landmarks. Continue to Santa Catarina street where is located in the Majestic Café.

  The Majestic Café. The most stunning of all cafés in the nation and one of the most attractive in the world. It continues to live up to its name with a wonderful Belle Époque atmosphere in its main room and attractive winter garden which has guaranteed it a spot in every café-themed coffee table book. You will enjoy a Wine Tourism in Portugal offer, a delicious afternoon tea. After tea, enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the Douro River from Porto Cathedral. Originally built in the 12th century, Porto Cathedral still has the original merlons and twin towers. Then, you will visit the Stock Exchange Palace of Porto “Palácio da Bolsa”, the building with the most different architectural styles in Porto. Last but not least, a visit to the Church of Saint Francis that is the most prominent Gothic monument in Porto is also noted for its outstanding Baroque inner decoration. Decorated with exuberant gilt woodwork or gold leaf “Talha dourada”.

In the classic comfort of The Yeatman restaurant, guests experience inspired cuisine with the accent on fresh local produce and on the imaginative pairing of food and wine. The Restaurant at The Yeatman holds two Michelin Stars which were awarded in November 2016.

  Enjoy a private tour at the Cockburn’s Lodge. The Cockburn’s cellars are the most extensive in the historic quarter of Vila Nova de Gaia, facing the twin city of Porto across the Douro River. The sturdy granite walls of the Cockburn’s lodge house 6,518 seasoned oak barrels of maturing Port since 1815. At Cockburn’s lodge you will experience a comprehensive visitor center that provides an authentic experience of a fully working Port Cellar. A highlight of the private visit to Cockburn’s is the possibility to view the coopers at work, wielding mallets with which they disassemble barrels stave by stave for maintenance and then reassemble them, a unique scene which has changed little over the centuries. Here, after the museum tour, you will enjoy some of the most exclusive Ports either in the terrace, filled with vines, creating a magical atmosphere, or in the tasting rooms where the guided tasting takes place. The restaurant celebrates 20 years of inspiring fine cuisine and excellent service.

  Close to the restaurant, you will find Taylor’s Cellars. For many, Taylor’s is Porto’s most illustrious wine producing house and drinking its wines is the most sublime experience. Created in 1692, this is one of the oldest houses still maintaining its family character and dedicating itself exclusively to the production of Port wines, especially, to its best styles. A visit to Taylor’s cellars is an absorbing and enriching experience that provides a unique journey into the fascinating world of Port wine. You will have a VINTAGE MASTER CLASS – Designed by experienced professionals and aimed at connoisseurs who want to learn more about the Vintage style. Includes a visit to the cellars and a class that deepens the knowledge about the production and characteristics of Taylor’s Vintage Ports.

  Then, nearby you will find WOW - World of Wine. Vila Nova de Gaia is a city with a wow factor, WOW pays homage to the region, and shines a light on the most important Portuguese industries and traditions, an entire district full of new and exciting things to do, explore, and learn. You will visit the Planet Cork Museum or the Chocolate Story Museum, you chose. If you decided the first you will discover the fascinating world of cork, Portugal is by far the world's largest cork producing country. Explaining and demonstrating how this natural product has changed our lives for the better, Planet Cork brings to life the incredible world of cork, from the ancient exploration of the cork oak to the most varied and avant-garde applications. At the Chocolate Story Museum, you will have an immersive experience from the world of cacao to the world of chocolate.   After the experience, dinner will be served at Decastro Gaia Restaurant. Where wines are matched with Portuguese snacks under the guidance of renowned Chef Miguel Castro Silva. The gastronomy embraces the concept of innovation, diversification, and modernity of the Porto Cruz project, challenging visitors to taste new experiences that test the palate in an informal yet stylish ambiance. Accompanied by the fashion Designer, you will have an inside look about the brand’s philosophy with a framework that will enable the participants to consciously value a design alternative to their fashion choices through following the assembly of a small accessory piece delivered to the participant at the end of the session.
