The Chauffeur is waiting for you in the hotel lobby.

On your way to Porto, you will have lunch and a visit to Quinta da Aveleda. The history of the Quinta da Aveleda estate is fabulously lost in time, there are countless records of this estate after the 16th century, making it possible to trace the record of the first bottle sold by the label of Quinta da Aveleda back in 1870. Aveleda is a name that spans several generations, with successive generations of the family totally devoted to winemaking. At Quinta da Aveleda, more than a guided tour to the bottling area, gardens, old winery, and tasting room, you will taste the labor of love of generations: The Alvarinho wine. Quinta da Aveleda’s kitchen is dedicated to amplifying traditional recipes, always and only from the best local products, produced in Quinta da Aveleda’s vegetable gardens.

You will have a Drive/Walking Tour in Porto with a certified private guide. We will show you the highlights of the city in this private Porto tour. Either by car or by walking, it is up to you. Starting in the historic center we will take you to the Clérigos Tower, designed and decorated by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, located close to the unparalleled Lello Bookstore, considered by Lonely Planet one of the three most beautiful bookstores in the world. And if you are a fan, you will know that Porto is the city that inspired J.K.Rowling to write Harry Potter, starting in this library. Across Aliados Avenue, you will find São Bento Railway Station, the interior is covered in twenty thousand painted tiles, depicting historical landmarks of the city. Continue your Porto tour, towards Santa Catarina street the famous Majestic Café is located. Then, enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the Douro River from Porto Cathedral. Originally built in the 12th century, Porto Cathedral still has the original merlons and twin towers, although the towers are now topped by 18th-century additions. It has undergone various alterations over the centuries, then, you will visit the Stock Exchange Palace of Porto “Palácio da Bolsa”, the building with the most different architectural styles in Porto. Last but not least, you should visit the Church of Saint Francis which is the most prominent Gothic monument in Porto, and is also noted for its outstanding Baroque inner decoration. Decorated with exuberant gilt woodwork and gold leaf “Talha dourada”.

Lunch will be served at Barão de Fladgate Restaurant. The Restaurant is located across the river from Porto city center, at Taylor's wine cellars and it enjoys a spectacular location and atmospheric setting. On the grounds of Taylor’s Port cellars, you will be amazed by the magnificent views across the Douro River to the old historic center of Porto, a UNESCO-protected urban landscape. Barão de Fladgate Restaurant offers a contemporary interpretation of traditional cuisine where the accent is on fresh local ingredients and on showcasing the authentic flavors of Portugal. Named after John Fladgate, the celebrated 19th century Port shipper and partner of Taylor’s who was awarded the title of Baron for his services to viticulture, the Barão Fladgate restaurant celebrates 20 years of inspiring fine cuisine and excellent service.

Then, you will visit Taylor’s Wine Cellars and savor Port wine tasting. For many, Taylor’s is Porto’s most illustrious wine-producing house, and drinking its wines is the most sublime experience. Created in 1692, this is one of the oldest houses still maintaining its family character and dedicating itself exclusively to the production of Port wines. A visit to Taylor’s cellars is an absorbing and enriching experience that provides a unique journey into the fascinating world of Port wine. This private Port wine tour is meant to be enriching to your Port wine knowledge. Learn as much as you want about the Port lodges and cellars as well as the production of Taylor’s Port. From the vineyards upwards in Douro Valley to the distinguished flavors in each type of Port wine. In Taylor's remarkable tasting room, enjoy a Signature tasting and cheese pairing with a selection of famous Portuguese cheeses.

Dinner will be served at Decastro Gaia Restaurant. Under the guidance of renowned Chef Miguel Castro Silva at Decastro Gaia Restaurant, gastronomy embraces the concept of innovation, diversification, and modernity of the Porto Cruz project. You will be impelled to put your palate to the test in an informal yet stylish ambiance.
