• Day 1 Welcome to Portugal: A Luxurious Arrival to the Heart of Douro Valley

Nestled in northern Portugal, the Douro is a land of terraced vineyards, rolling hills, and tranquil river views.   After completing airport formalities at Porto International Airport (OPO), you will be greeted outside customs by your English-speaking Chauffeur and transferred in a deluxe vehicle directly to the heart of the Douro Valley.

  Upon arrival, you will check in at Quinta de Ventozelo, one of the most emblematic wine estates in the region. Your accommodation will be in either the Casa Romântica (Romantic House) or Casa do Rio (River House), depending on availability, each offering a charming and tranquil setting with spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards and river.
   
  Once settled, you will have the choice between two immersive ways to explore the estate:

  • A self-guided hiking tour, meandering through scenic vineyard trails down to the riverbanks, ideal for soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and stunning landscapes at your own pace;
  • Or a private jeep tour across the estate, allowing for a comfortable and adventurous exploration of its vast terrain and hidden corners.

  The experience continues with a private wine tasting, where you'll have the opportunity to sample some of Ventozelo’s finest wines, guided by a local expert who will share the history and character of each unique varietal.
   
  In the evening, dinner will be served at the Cantina de Ventozelo, the estate’s atmospheric restaurant. Here, regional flavors take center stage in a menu that celebrates local ingredients and traditional recipes, reimagined with creativity and care.

• Day 2 Douro Valley Discovery: A Luxurious Journey of Wine, Vineyards and River Serenity

  Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel, savoring the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views of the Douro Valley.
   
  Following breakfast, your private vintage wooden boat will be waiting at the hotel's pier to continue your journey along the majestic Douro River.
   
  Crafted by one of the last traditional Portuguese shipyards, each vessel in this exclusive fleet is a work of art, lovingly built and maintained by three generations of the same family. Ranging from 4.80 to 6 meters, the boats offer unique experiences—from cozy, intimate rides close to the water to more spacious comfort with cabin privacy. More than transportation, these boats are floating pieces of history, blending tradition and elegance for an unforgettable voyage.
