After landing in Portugal, you will be embraced by the warm landscape, and you will feel at home. The yacht Azimut 68 Plus, a 21.63-meter gliding yacht with a flybridge with 4 guest cabins and a draft of 1.40 meters, will be your home for the next seven days, and will be the place where you will live in complete tranquility and relaxation.
After lunch at a scenic riverside restaurant, you will continue your journey to the ruler. Dinner will be waiting for you at Castas & Pratos Restaurant, traditional and luxurious, it will be a meal not to be missed.
On the second day of the tour, you will have lunch at Quinta de La Rosa, with one of the best views of the Douro Valley. With natural, traditional products and a touch of simplicity, Clara's chef will deliver you a conventional and luxurious meal. Then, and after this delicious start, you will enjoy a visit with a wine tasting at Quinta de La Rosa Winery. During the visit to the winery and the traditional port cellar, you will learn about the family estate and how the port and wine are made.
Dinner will be served at Quinta de Ventozelo, with a unique view of the river. At Cantina de Ventozelo, where formerly meals were served to workers, dishes created by Miguel Castro e Silva are now served, who bet on regional recipes and a “zero kilometer” offer, that is, the menus adapt to what nature provides.
After breakfast on board, with the wonderful view, you will be transferred to Quinta do Portal. Lunch will be served in this wonderful place, where you will discover a unique enogastronomic experience. You will enjoy a wonderful pairing, accompanied by signature cuisine with traditional flavors of the region, in a unique environment.
You will later be transported to one of the best archaeological museums in the region, the Côa Museum. Opened in 2010 and located on one of the terraces where the Douro River and the Côa River meet, this museum is known for its cutting-edge technology to present a view of the rock art of the Côa Valley, particularly from the Paleolithic era.
The Côa Valley Museum does not fit into the museology of collections. The collection is abroad, in the rock art sites of the Côa Valley. The adopted solution reflects, admittedly, the change in function and motivation of the use of the images of the engravings and sites in the Côa Valley in an environment created for new supports and readings. It's a new day, and after breakfast, you'll head to Pinhão. It's time to uncover the wonders of Quinta Nova Luxury Winery House. It was born in the building of the 19th-century manor house, and, amid gardens and terraces, we can take a look at a delightful swimming pool between vineyards, a chapel, a terrace under a ramada, and access to the Wine Bar, a winter garden or simply small fruit orchards, historic sites and unique corners, worthy of a visit.
You will learn all the details about the production of wines, the vineyard, the winery of 1764, the underground wine cellar, and end your visit with a tasting of vintage wines. Indulge in the delights that Terraçus Restaurant has to offer, where dinner will be served. The menu appeals to the senses and emotions, in a relaxed and curious way. The proposals are different every day and guests never get to know the menu, letting themselves be guided by the inspiration of the Chef.
Enjoy lunch at the marvelous DOC Restaurant, an open window over the breathtaking scenery of the Douro. The restaurant is sited on the coastal road between Régua and Pinhão. With the signature of the Michelin Chef Rui Paula, DOC's cuisine awakens the senses to old memories of dishes from Trás-os-Montes-Durian, to which the Chef gives a very personal and contemporary character. You will later be transported to Six Senses, where you will enjoy one of the greatest gastronomic journeys of this tour. Appreciate the wonderful and distinctive Chef's Table experience, a very intimate journey of food and wine. The Chef welcomes you to his table, in a pleasant and welcoming corner of the hotel's main kitchen. You will feel the adrenaline of a kitchen working at full capacity.
After breakfast, served on board, you will descend the dams on the way to Porto, after the path where you can enjoy the delightful views of the slopes, dinner will be waiting for you at Decastro Gaia Restaurant.
